At Clínica Camelias, we offer HPV vaccination for adult women and men — a safe and effective way to protect yourself against human papillomavirus (HPV), the most common sexually transmitted infection worldwide.
Why get vaccinated as an adult?
Many people believe the HPV vaccine is only for teenagers. But if you haven’t received it before, it’s not too late. Vaccination can still reduce your risk of genital warts and HPV-related cancers, including cervical, anal, penile, and oropharyngeal cancers.
The vaccine is especially recommended if:
You’ve never been vaccinated before.
You’ve started a new relationship or are sexually active with new partners.
You are part of the LGBTQ+ community, including women who have sex with women or men who have sex with men.
You want to take one more step to protect your long-term health.
How does the vaccination work?
The full schedule consists of 3 doses:
1st dose: at the time of your visit
2nd dose: 2 months after the first
3rd dose: 6 months after the first
All three doses must be given within 12 months. No booster doses are needed.
?? Each dose costs 185 euros, and we use Gardasil 9, the latest generation HPV vaccine.
Even if you're only in Galicia for a short stay, you can start the vaccination process here. We’ll provide you with clear instructions to complete it in your home country if needed.
Safe, Proven, and Well-Tolerated
This vaccine cannot cause infection. It contains no live virus — only harmless proteins from the virus's outer shell that stimulate your immune system to protect you.
It is well tolerated: most people do not experience fever or general discomfort. The most common side effect is temporary soreness in the arm where the shot is given.
